Event information:

Creating a safe, productive remote learning environment for educators, students, and parents requires more than just opening a laptop and clearing some space on the kitchen table. Without the appropriate precautions, some of the most powerful apps that enable remote education can inadvertently provide a backdoor for hackers.

During this free, one-hour webinar, LA Creative Tech’s CEO, Josh Weiss, takes you through the cybersecurity threats that most affect schools and remote learning environments to help administrators establish policies, procedures, and training protocols to protect your staff, students, and parents.

Included is a roundtable discussion with Denise Alvarado, Administrator of Oxford Preparatory Academy, along with Fatinah Judeh, Coordinator for the Orange County Department of Education, Division of Alternative Education. Denise and Fatinah share some of the common questions and challenges administrators may be facing when it comes to using technology to facilitate remote learning environments.
  • What precautions can we take to prevent our Zoom, Google or Teams classes from being hacked?
  • How can we help our staff become more knowledgeable in recognizing phishing attacks?
  • How can we keep our apps secure?
